Membership Requirements


The credit union was founded in 1956 for employees of the Atlanta Division of the Texas Company (Texaco). The credit union now serves employees of Chevron, Shell and over 25 other companies, who work at various locations. Organizations, family members and retirees can also join. Please contact the credit union office for exact qualifications.

"The field of membership shall be limited to those having the following common bond:
1. Employees of Texaco, Inc., and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Texaco Chemical Company, employees of joint venture Equilon Enterprises, LLC, Equiva Services, LLC and Equiva Trading Company, (Rev. 7/16/98) and employees who are under the supervision of joint venture Motiva Enterprises LLC, with headquarters in Houston, Texas, and who work in the States of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas, or Louisiana, except those who work in North Carolina or Virginia and are members of the Texaco Employees Credit Union, Inc., Norfolk, Virginia; (Rev. 6/10/98) formerly, employees of Texaco, Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiaries, Equilon Enterprises LLC, formerly Texaco Refining and Marketing, Inc., (Rev. 2/23/98) and Texaco Chemical Company, and employees of its joint-venture partner, Star Enterprise, who are under the supervision of Star Enterprise headquarters at the Northborough Building in Houston, Texas, and work in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas, or Louisiana, except those who work in North Carolina or Virginia and are members of the Texaco Employees Credit Union, Inc., Norfolk, Virginia; employees of Texaco, Inc., in the Northeastern Region who work in the states of New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Maine, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, or Rhode Island; employees of the Oak Brook office of Texaco, Inc., including its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jefferson Chemical Company, The Convenience Store, a subsidiary of Motiva Enterprise (Rev. 6/10/98), formerly Star Enterprise, who work in Norcross, Georgia (A common bond expansion approved 4/1/97);
2. Employees of the same companies named above in the Northeastern Region who work in the states of New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Maine, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, or Rhode Island;
3. Employees of the Oak Brook office of Texaco, Inc., including its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jefferson Chemical Company, who work in or are supervised from Oak Brook, Illinois;
4. Employees of Equilon Enterprises LLC, Motiva Enterprises LLC, (Rev. 6/10/98), Equiva Services, LLC and Equiva Trading Company (Rev. 7/16/98) formerly Texaco U.S.A. Marketing Department who work in or have headquarters in Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio, St. Louis, Missouri, Detroit, Michigan and Houston, Texas;
5. Employees of Texaco, Inc., in the Boston Sales Region who work in New England, or from district offices in Albany or Buffalo, New York, and are supervised from Brookline, Massachusetts; (Merger 8/2/96)
6. Natural person members of the National Association of Texaco Wholesalers Council who are under written marketing contract and are exclusive distributors of Texaco, Inc., Products in the states of Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky;
7. Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union; persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment; employees of this credit union; members of their immediate families; and organizations of such persons, and
8. The Convenience Store."
